Kaplan Landau Attorneys - Patrick Train-Gutiérrez, Partner
Patrick Train-Gutiérrez advises and represents clients in a wide range of complex corporate and commercial litigation and has experience representing companies enforcing their domestic copyrights. He has represented clients in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration before the American Arbitration Association. Mr. Train-Gutiérrez is fluent in Spanish and has represented clients from both Latin America and Spain in U.S. domestic litigation matters.
Mr. Train-Gutiérrez' recent matters include representing digital media networks in a series of complex litigations originating from a multi-million dollar asset sale and acquisition, defending an investment banker in a federal securities fraud action stemming from a complex cross-border merger, defending a long-short hedge fund in a multi-billion dollar state law RICO action alleging an improper short selling scheme and representing various members of the recording industry in defending their copyrights in federal district court.
Mr. Train-Gutiérrez joined the firm in 2008 and was made partner in 2011. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Train-Gutiérrez was associated with Hunton & Williams LLP in New York City and Holme, Roberts and Owen LLP in Denver, Colorado.
