Kaplan Landau Attorneys - Mary Cecilia Sweeney, Associate
Mary Cecilia Sweeney has experience with a variety of matters and
proceedings, including ERISA and federal securities law class actions, insurance coverage disputes, commercial landlord/tenant proceedings, state and city administrative hearings, arbitrations, and civil and criminal
state court proceedings, and has argued before the Appellate Division and
the Court of Appeals for the State of New York.
Ms. Sweeney's recent matters include representing a group of investment
firms alleging a multi-million dollar fraud against an international
investment bank and its affiliates; prosecution of claims for injunctive
relief and breach of fiduciary duty in connection with the dissolution of a
partnership; and representing a bank alleging a multi-million dollar claim
for accounting fraud against an international accounting firm.
Prior to joining the firm Ms. Sweeney was associated with Weil, Gotshal
& Manges LLP and Sullivan & Worcester LLP.
